The 2008 Little Sturgis Rally and Races for Charity was held Thursday, July 17 to Sunday, July 20. Leslie Hoskins of Henderson sang the national anthem at the opening ceremonies Friday at the Little Sturgis Rally and Races for Charity, with prayer and presentation of colors by Rizpah members. The Rally featured new vendors and new trolley cars for attendees. Rally officials count a total of 15,799 attendees with year, more than 20 states represented in the Bike Show.
With 159 entries, this year’s Rally Bike Show was the biggest ever, say Co-Chairs George and Marcy Belt. Up from 137 entries last year, the Bike Show has grown to 19 classes of bikes, including three models of Trikes and a large Metro Cruiser category. The Ride-In Bike Show was held in association with the Little Sturgis Rally on Saturday, July 19.
