Mrs. French’s 4th grade class is helping a local family in need. Found through agencies like Audubon Area and Social Services, a family of nine: two parents and seven kids. They just couldn’t make ends meet. So the students wrote letters in English class to friends, family, and community members for help. The students also did extra chores at home for a monetary reward which they donated to the fund. In total, they raised $800 for this local family. Friday, they took a trip to Wal-Mart to spend their money on things a typical family would need.
