Robert E. Culley, 86, of Little Dixie, Ky. died Monday, May 12, 2008 at Methodist Hospital Henderson.
He was a member of Union Hill General Baptist Church in Little Dixie, where he was an Honorary Deacon. He was also a Kentucky Colonel and a WWII veteran of the U.S. Army.
He was preceded in death by his first wife, Delores L. Culley, in 1975.
Survivors include his wife of 28 years, Melba Pritchett Culley; one son, Pat Culley of Henderson; one daughter, Brenda Hamon of Henderson; one stepdaughter, Gaye Pritchett Powell of Little Dixie; four stepsons, Sam, Glenn, Al, and Darwin Pritchett, all of Clay, Ky.; one brother, Arnold Culley of Zion, Ky.; four grandchildren; 17 step-grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; six step-great-grandchildren; and nieces and nephews.
Services will be held today, Wednesday, May 14 at Benton Glunt Funeral Home in Henderson with Bro. Roy Snyder and Bro. Bob Fulcher officiating. Friends may call at the funeral home from 9 a.m. until service time today. Burial will be in Fairmont Cemetery in Henderson. Graveside military rites will be conducted by the American Legion Worsham Post #40.
