God's Outdoors Disciples Ministry, Inc. will host The 6th. Annual Union County Youth Outdoors Day on July 22nd. 2006. The event will take place at The Union County Fair Grounds and The Sturgis Airport Lake. Registration will take place at 9:00 am in The Hancock Pavilion gate 4 of The Union County Fairgrounds. The event will start up at 10:00 am and end around 3:00 pm.
Special Guest for this event will be One Way of Union County as well as Jon Farley of Henderson, Ky. There will be a free lunch provided by The Sturgis First Christian Church and special recognition service of local sponsors.
Activities for the day will consist of 3-D Archery, Clay Pigeon Shooting, Thompson Center Arms 22 Classic Challenge, Amateur Calling Contest, Fishing, Paint Ball Trophy Hunting and New this year, Deer Run Relay, Fun and Games and The King Fisher Sport Fishing Contest.
There will be drawings for door prizes thru out the day from Realtree, Gander Mountain, Muzzy and many more. Youth Hunting trips from Tradewater Outfitters and The Bare Bottom Lodge and God's Outdoors Disciples Ministry will be drawn for at the end of the day. Deer and turkey hunts are for 9 to 15 year olds. Small game hunts and Fishing Trips are availbale for others.
This is a free event but donation buckets will be set-up at different locations and announced the day of the event. Raffle tickets will be sold for a autographed Toby Keith guitar and picture as well as tickets for The Casting Crowns in Evansville in August. The drawings will take place that day.
All participants must have a signed wavier and children 12 and under must be in the company of an adult or responsible party. Waivers can be printed by logging onto www.godministry.org and clicking on the wavier page or you can call 270-952-5053 and have Waivers sent to you. Waivers will also be available the day event.
